Entertainment Horror Stories was set up so brides and grooms can learn from other people's experiences. Entertainment is the biggest thing that guests remember at a wedding, so you want to know what to watch out for when hiring your entertainment. This is a chance for brides, grooms, parents, bridesmaids, groomsmen, vendors, or anyone at a wedding to share their story with everyone. This will hopefully educate people about what to look for and what to watch out for. We encourage you to submit your own story to MrReception. Please read the stories and enjoy:

Sometimes, when you perform at a wedding, you get a story to come home with. I have been telling this story since it happened back in 1998 andI think it is one of the funnier wedding stories out there. I was hired to DJ a wedding for a Korean couple and the receptionwas held at a Korean church. The dance floorwas at the back of the room and buffet lines were set up right at the entrance withthe guest tables spread out between the two. The reception was set to begin at 2:00 and I was scheduled to performfor 5 hours.
I was all set up and ready to go and I was waiting for guests and the bride and groom to arrive. As the guests started showing up they didn't even go to their table to wait for the special couple. They started going right through the buffet line and began eating. This is before the bride and groom were even there. As I was waiting, the bride’s family arrived and I thought they would be upset with their guests. After I welcomed them, they took their place in line as well, which at this point extended out the front door. I was flabbergasted; it looked like the line to Old Country Buffet. |

My friend's wedding was almost ruined and it didn't have to happen if the DJ had been what we were promised from the company. Here are some of the issues that myself, and the other bridesmaids thought stood out with the DJ over the course of the evening: |
